Tell us your business story to date...
As friends and colleagues for a long time, we were both on the lookout for a natural source of energy to get us through a long working day. Should we follow the crowds down to the next cafe? Rather not, as Nathaniel had never really liked coffee, while Jochen had just grown bored of what felt like his millionth espresso. We also disliked the idea of energy drinks and sodas with all the synthetic stuff that goes into them.
As passionate health food enthusiasts we instead were looking for something tasty, natural and healthy. Sitting together one day in the sun with a smoothie, we wondered why no one seemed to have come up with the idea of combining cold pressed juices with the power and goodness of natural energy sources. Thus, kahicool and the concept of Cold Pressed Energy were borne.
Ever since we created the first naturally caffeinated juice in Nathaniel's kitchen, our vision at kahicool has been to put the healthy and the tasty into your caffeine lift. We source only the best and most natural ingredients, ensuring that every kahicool is a fusion of merely cold pressed juice, some of the finest Japanese Matcha as well as natural green tea extract. Pure and simple, just like nature intended.
What can we look forward to seeing from you?
We are currently launching kahicool in additional locations across London and will soon be stocked in almost 40 stores. We see substantial demand for our drinks from both customers and stockists such that we are hoping to roll out kahicool further still. This would be a tremendous success given that the brand was only launched a year ago and we had little to no industry experience. We are also about to launch kahicool on an online marketplace which will enable us to distribute the drinks to customers across the country. We are really excited about this as our fans outside of London will finally be able to get their hands on our Cold Pressed Energy! Finally, we are also working on a third recipe which should be ready for launch not too long from now. So, in case you have been waiting for kahicool in a berry flavour, watch this space!
How will your business change the world?
We are passionate about our vision of putting the healthy and the tasty into your caffeine lift! For everyone who is looking for that natural alternative to sodas or energy drinks, or who is just a little bored of that same old coffee, we hope that kahicool will give them the same joy that it is giving us and our existing customers! So, one drink at a time we strive to give the world an all natural boost to its day...
Tell us about your products/services in more detail...
kahicool - Cold Pressed Energy is an all naturally caffeinated cold pressed drink. It is made up solely out of fresh fruit and vegetable juice and derives its caffeination from exclusively first harvest Matcha directly from the Kyushu and Kyoto regions in Japan, as well as from carefully selected green tea extract. kahicool is never heat treated or from concentrate and includes no added sugar or alternative additives!
Is there anything you can offer to help other startup businesses?
We would love to be able to help out fellow start-up businesses! So, if you would like to exchange ideas and learning points, please give us a shout! Besides the experiences we gained along the way, we have met some great people on our journey. Both of us have backgrounds in business and economics which we have found to be useful skills during the start-up process. We have also invested in a number of other young food companies, so if you want a second opinion on that sort of thing, please let us know!
Is there any help that are you looking for?
We are always keen to engage with other people who are also in the process of starting up or expanding their business, or have done so in the past. When meeting founders of fellow food and drink start-ups as well as in other industries, we have always found it very inspirational to exchange experiences and ideas. So if anybody feels like catching up, please do get in touch.
